I just had a c-section on March 1st. They gave me Norco and Motrin for the pain, which I did not know can cause constipation. for the past 3 days I've had nausea and feeling like total crap. Went to the ER and they said it wasn't an infection from my c-section. And my GI doc today said he wasn't concerned about it being part of my Crohn's. Has anyone had any experience like this? Thinking it may be the flu, but symptoms only kick in in the evening, and I haven't eaten all day. Any advice?:stinks:

Oh, wow. You shouldn't be taking Motrin. It's an NSAID - these types of medication aggravate the stomach and shouldn't be taken by anyone with IBD. Tylenol is a safe alternative. Is there any reason they didn't give you Tylenol? I'm very surprised that they would give you Motrin.

Did your GI have any suggestions as to what the cause of your problems might be, then? It sounds like the medications aggravating your Crohn's is a very good possibility.

Are you feeling any better now?

I have gotten off the Nsaids and I am taking the Tylenol. I don't think my caregivers at the hospital really listened about me having Crohn's. I'm still sick, but after doing some research, my mom and I think it couod be post partum morning sickness. It happens the same time every night. I just know now when baby #2 comes to kake sure they dont give me any Nasaids. That was a mistake on my part, but I was too exhausted to think. Thank you for your help!
