Camp Gut Busters is a free summer camp for kids with IBD. The camp is held in Livermore, California on the outskirts of the San Francisco Bay Area. The Pediatric IBD Team at UCSF Medical Center sponsors and runs this camp program.
The camp facility is the Taylor Family Foundation Campground, a purpose-built campground for medically fragile children. The Gut Busters website has pictures and lots of information about the facilities and camp activities.
Badger has been going to Gut Busters for 7 years and loves it. This year he will be a Counselor in Training.
I can't say enough good things about the people who run this camp.
Last year the camp filled up before the application period closed. So apply early.
