I was in ER this weekend with moderate pain in my right lower abdomen. I started in urgent care and they sent me directly to ER. I am allergic to the dye they use for CT, so they initially did an ultrasound. There was a lot of fluid in my abdomen and I was told the leading diagnosis was ruptured appendix. Then, they told me they wanted to do a CT with no contrast. CT was done and the doc came in and told me my appendix was fine, but I have Crohn's disease. I am to follow up with my GP to get a referral to a GI and surgeon. I am so scared!! I am reading everyone's stories and terrified. I am in a lot of pain and they sent me home telling me to take tylenol. I have hardly had anything to eat in the last couple days. I am so tired. I have talked to my family and this runs in the family. :( I feel so sad for everyone dealing with this and I DO NOT WANT IT!

Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear you are going through this difficult time. It will be good to follow up with the GI doctor. They will do a colonoscopy to confirm if it is IBD. In the meantime, perhaps try to eat a low residue diet, nothing too fibrous, make it easy on your digestion. Maybe try a heating pad on your tummy. I am sure there are others here who have suggestions as well. Hang in there. =)

Welcome!
I understand why your scared, Crohn's can be difficult to deal with, but you are in the right place. We have all been there and most of us still are. Like already said, stick to a low residue diet. Another thing you might want to try is keeping a food diary (there is not one specific diet for everyone) so that way you can eliminate things that you know make you sick. Heat seems to be a common comfort factor for everyone, I like to take super hot baths when I am not feeling well. Keep your chin up. Here, you are never alone! I hope you get to a GI soon. If the pain gets to be really bad or there is a lot of blood in your BMs , don't be afraid to go to the E.R.
Hope you start feeling better soon!
