Not sure about Crohns

So for the past week now I have had very watery, mucus-like bouts of diarrhea. It comes on very quickly and when I go it shoots pain up the back and my legs get numb and tingly. It takes forever to get anything out and then a tiny bit comes out and then five minutes later it starts all over again. Last Tuesday it started. I had to stay home because I couldn't leave the house for five minutes to run to get some immodium.

I finally got some and on Thursday I had a regular bowel movement. Throughout the week i have been really fatigued. I almost feel asleep on the way home one way after work (4:00PM) not real late.

Saturday comes around and it starts all over again. I go see an urgent care dr and he tells me to eat a non-dairy diet for three days and eat very crumbly carbos. Nothing spicy. I had to bring in two stool tests too. He also wants me to take dulcolax to make it come out and not stop it. He thought it might be a colon infection.

Sunday rolls around and I still have the same symptoms. I was able to bring in stool samples.

Monday passes and no diarrhea. Now it is Tuesday again and I have had a regular movement. I am still overly tired and I have been monitoring my gums. As of today they are rough, sore and bleed when brushing. Not normal for me. I recently went to the dentist last month and they mentioned that my gums were fine.

I am waiting to get my tests back from the stool samples when I have my dr appt tomorrow morn with my regular dr.

People have mentioned that it sounds like Crohns but I am not sure.

Any light anyone can shed on this would be great.

My stats are I am a 37 year old female with no health issues except for this recent bout.

Thanks!

Hi! Welcome to the forum!

Sorry to hear about all that! Sounds like you've had a rough time.

Your symptoms could indicate Crohn's, yes - but there are other possibilities, as well, a lot of which are more common. Don't worry about it! Just talk to your doctor and see what he thinks. Please update us when you do!

Have you had any symptoms before this started? Felt anything at all different from normal? Did you eat anything unusual? Are you having stomach pain other than when you go to the bathroom? How severe is the pain? Were you unusually tired before this started?

Hi there and welcome :)

Prior to the onset of these symptoms, did you have any intestinal issues in the past? How about any other weird issues like rashes, sores in your mouth, eye inflammation, etc?

I hope you feel better soon!

welcome to the forum. Its hard to say without proper medical evidence but it certainly sounds like that. Although it could just be a problem casued by a number of things (heavy exercise may have caused a problem etc)
