So for the past week now I have had very watery, mucus-like bouts of diarrhea. It comes on very quickly and when I go it shoots pain up the back and my legs get numb and tingly. It takes forever to get anything out and then a tiny bit comes out and then five minutes later it starts all over again. Last Tuesday it started. I had to stay home because I couldn't leave the house for five minutes to run to get some immodium.
I finally got some and on Thursday I had a regular bowel movement. Throughout the week i have been really fatigued. I almost feel asleep on the way home one way after work (4:00PM) not real late.
Saturday comes around and it starts all over again. I go see an urgent care dr and he tells me to eat a non-dairy diet for three days and eat very crumbly carbos. Nothing spicy. I had to bring in two stool tests too. He also wants me to take dulcolax to make it come out and not stop it. He thought it might be a colon infection.
Sunday rolls around and I still have the same symptoms. I was able to bring in stool samples.
Monday passes and no diarrhea. Now it is Tuesday again and I have had a regular movement. I am still overly tired and I have been monitoring my gums. As of today they are rough, sore and bleed when brushing. Not normal for me. I recently went to the dentist last month and they mentioned that my gums were fine.
I am waiting to get my tests back from the stool samples when I have my dr appt tomorrow morn with my regular dr.
People have mentioned that it sounds like Crohns but I am not sure.
Any light anyone can shed on this would be great.
My stats are I am a 37 year old female with no health issues except for this recent bout.
Thanks!
