Took my Picolax just before 8am, now 9.30am and I havent even had the slightest bit of cramp or been to the loo yet

Is that the first dose? If it is don't worry too much just yet.

When I took picolax I got nothing until after the second dose and even then it wasn't for another 2-3 hours that things started moving.

Make sure you are drinking lots as this helps the picolax to work, if you aren't drinking enough it won't do its job as well.

Yes first sachet, 2nd one due about 3.30pm.

Just a sidenote I was told that if neither sachet worked, when i attend colonoscopy tomorrow they can provide me something to empty me?

Yup it started working and dont i know it.

By the way, the booklet i had off hospital isnt actually that detailed in regards to what i am allowed to eat. Just says dry biscuit, and jelly, or like bovril soup. Cant be all can it?

I'm glad it has started to work

Unfortunately yes that is it. Actually when I had mine I wasn't allowed to eat anything solid at all for 24 hours before my appointment, not even a biscuit.. If you have jelly make sure it's not red.

You can drink water, squash (not red) tea/coffee (no milk) lemonade, lucozade

Oh excellent. It does say black tea and coffee in the booklet thing I had didn't know about Lucozade though, original flavour only?. Im guessing no red is to stop GI thinking it's blood during the scope?

You can have the lucozade original or orange flavours... The no red is because it can tint the lining of the gut and make it look like there is inflammation present

yeh makes sense about the inflammation. Dont think mine is going to show anyway, havent really had a flare or symtpoms since end of july beginning of august
