nut allergy ,..... what flour to use?

hi all i see all these reciped that look really nice for CSD friendly food but they all use almond flour which i cannot use as i have a nut allergy.... i seen somewhere someone mentioned coconut flour to use instead but if im trying to stick to non gluten , no wheat , no dairy what flour is best to use to make for example:

chicken nuggets
cakes
pies

etc etc

thanks

Hi bboyzeez,

Could you use rice flour? It's wheat and gluten free and I'd be surprised if it wasn't nut free too. I used it as a coating when I made fish cakes last week and it worked out nicely. I think it's not so good for cakes or pastry - apparently the gluten in normal flour helps it to bind and because there is no gluten in rice flour it doesn't bind so well.

There's also buckwheat flour, which is wheat and gluten free.

Sarah
