Nystatin

I was prescribed nystatin for an ulcer on tongue yesterday. He gave me the infant dosage which i kind of think maybe because it may irratate my stomach. They say to swosh and swollow. Can't you just swosh and spit it out.

I would recommend following the directions. I have had the lollies in the past and they didn't bother me. I think you need to swallow in case you have any thrush or ulcers in your throat or ones growing.

thanks i will. I was wondering if the pentasa could be causing this. I've never had this before and it started about 1 week after starting the pentasa.

Others have complained of it but haven't seen it listed as a side effect. I'd ask your GI.
