So I've been on Humira since March. Last month my doctor wanted to up me to every 10 days instead of 14, and also added entocort. I was having breakthrough symptoms. So he updates my prescription.
Problem #1, my copay assistance won't cover it the way he's written (2 pens every 20 days) So I call and ask him to update it to at least a 28 day supply. So he changes it (3 pens every 30 days) The pharmacy (and several other's I've called) won't break up the sets of 2 they come in. So I ask if he can write it for 4 pens every 30 days, and I'll just fill it less often. I get told by his nurse he doesn't like doing that, but I insist that he at least call me and tell my why. Now, silence. I can't get him to fix it or even to return my calls.
I'm now 3 weeks out from my last dose and my symptoms are returning. The entocort isn't enough to keep it down. Bad diarrhea, keytone breath in the morning, body aches, and now I just threw up my lunch.
I'm losing hope. And I'm scared I'll create antibodies if I don't get back on it soon. Anyone been off it for a month and got back on with success?? I have an appointment with him in 3 weeks, that might be the soonest I can actually talk to him.
Also any suggestions to get my meds?
