Why, why must you burn so bad?? NOthing like the feel of "battery acid" being injected into my body. Yes i know it's worth the 30 second of pain..blah blah blah:wink: I still hurts like a mofo!!!!:D

You gotta leave it out of the refrigerator (to reach room temp) for a good 20 mins - then there's hardly a sting! It was bugging me too.

Yeah, it stings a little, but quickly goes away. It's really not a big price to pay. Let it warm up for thirty minutes before injecting and ice the injection spot befor you inject.

Good Luck

I have thought about switching to the syringes instead of the pen. The clicking sound makes it worse for me. It is weird that sometimes it hurts more than other times.

I found it stings less in the upper thigh, rather than stomach. Sometimes I will get an injection that stings alot, other times not so much.. it varies, But usually the sting isnt so bad.... But I have always been good at tolerating needles. except when they put an IV in my arm..my veins roll (they've told me) so sometimes it takes 2 or 3 pricks to get the IV right.

I just picked up my meds. They are in the fridge. Ready for my start up dose of 160mg on Friday. I am going to try and leave it out of the fridge for 30min as people have mentioned. I was suppose to get the pens. (that is what I asked for). For some reason I received the needles. I wasn't to happy about that. I have no problems getting getting a needle. I just never have given myself one. Worried about air bubbles. I have a nurse coming to show me for the first dose. I will let you know how the sting goes. Question to all in this thread. Where do you prefer to take it? In the leg or the gut?

Oh boy!!!! I know exactly what you mean!!!! It is worth it, but wow, it does hurt:frown:

It *does* burn, and it doesn't seem to matter that I leave it out or ice. I inject super slowly, which helps, and I have found that if I do my belly the pain doesn't linger as badly afterwards.
