I am skeptical of the claim of a cure, but Oil of Oregano does have properties such as anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral that are interesting to me. They may have had success with it, but I guess as hard as this disease is to diagnose, it must be even harder to determine if you are cured.
I will give you an example. My wife has Lyme Disease and has no symptoms of the disease at this time. Unless her current stomach problem is related, and it may or may not be. My treatment indicates she still has the bacteria, although it is greatly reduced. She has never tested positive, although her symptoms were typical, and responded positively to every Lyme treatment we ever used. She had a recent test that also was negative. If I leave her without treatment for several weeks, the symptoms will return.
Any doctor would say she is not infected by way of the test, and lack of symptoms. She is still infected or her symptoms would not come back, and they do if left untreated for several weeks. If they can be wrong on this, how would you determine a cure with a disease that can go into remission for several years on its own? That is why I am skeptical.
I have never used it for anything, so I cannot say one way or the other if it is a viable treatment option.
What I do know is Oil of Oregano can reduce Iron absorption so you may want to watch for a drop in Iron if you use it. It is pretty powerful stuff so I would be careful with it. Some people are allergic to it also.
Always be careful with any thing you have not used before. This is something I need to look into more, but I have a hundred others also. I would have tried it, if I would have been aware of it before. That is an individual decision, and I believe everyone has a right to decide their own treatment, whatever it may be.
