Hi
I have been looking for the right bottle of Omega3-6-9
Can't seem to find the right one. Some bottles say for the heart,
and other things can.t remember right now.
But I know that I'm supposed to get the one that contains
flax seed and fish oil I believe. The bottles basically all contain
flax seed and fish oil even the one for the heart or cardiovascular.
So my question is does it matter which Omega 3-6-9 that I buy.

Also I bought a bottle of OS-CAL 500.That I've been taking once
a day. This seems to be giving me the bad diahrea I mean sometimes
I just barely make it to the tolit. It is coming out like water. Going
about 5 times a day and right after I eat and sometimes even drinking.
Could this be causing my D?
I'm also in a flare-up to so this could be contributing to it also.

Thank you Tammy

I am not actually sure what OS-CAL 500 is. But I can assume that if something is constantly making you go to the washroom after you take it, it may not be so helpful.

As for the Omega product, I do not know much about any product that contains multiple oils in it. I would have the oils seperately, as I have purchased a fish oil and it is easy to have olive or flax seed oil as a salad dressing with salad. At one point I was even mixing oil into an avocado and rice protein drink I was making in the blender. It could also be added to any juice or drink though.

Mosty importantly though I hope you feel better soon.

check out puritans pride online and see their omega 3-6-9, it's the one I use and I quite like it.

I am no expert, but I have heard that getting your omega's through the most naturally occurring means possible is best. I have been using a flax oil with everything i cook for a month or so now and now am using it in my elemental shakes to boost my calorie intake. it has good levels of 3,6, and 9.

You are totally right carolinajack :) eating plenty of wild not farmed fish like salmon and tuna, ect (avoiding sword fish all together because the mecury content is much too high) and eating an abuncance of nuts are great natural ways of getting your omegas, however, for people with IBD it's not always easy to rely on the natural sources alone, often we need supplementation to give a little bit extra that we might not be able to absorb through natural ways alone, especially if most aren't eating the natural stuff on a regular enough basis, at least by taking the supplements daily hopefully our bodies are getting some benefit that way.

I do like mikey does. I take a spoonful of Flax oil with my morning yoghurt. Then I use olive oil with my foods (not much with salads as I can't handle raw veggies very good). An idea would be to split an avocado in two, fill it with some olive oil, and eat it with a spoon.

I also take Omega3 fish oil, as it's not easy to find wild salmon these days. You can try the enteric coated ones as they are easier to digest, and if you can't find them, try putting them in the freezer. This worked for me. Good Luck

i relate on the wild salmon. its impossible to find at the grocery these days. when i find it out at restaurants I always get it.
