Does anyone here take fish or krill oil for omega-3 fatty acids supplements? Right now I take Vit B6, Vit C, and a multi-vitamin, but heard that omega-3 fatty acids are good for digestive health, anxiety, and depression. Would this be advisable? Any suggestions?

There have been studies suggesting it may be anti-inflammatory. It's definitely a health food chock full of omega 3 fatty acids.

"Omega-3 fatty acids, such as those found in fish oil (2.7 g per day) -- These fats may help fight inflammation and reduce the chances of recurrence, but studies have been mixed. The study with the most positive results used a special type of fish oil – "enteric coated free fatty acid form" – that is not sold commercially. Some researchers suggest that measuring the blood levels of different types of fatty acids may help determine if fish oil would be useful. Do not take high doses of a fish oil supplement if you take blood-thinning meds"

I'm taking multiple vitamins and Gingko Biloba but six months ago my blood pressure was so high my doctor was going to give me prescription for high blood pressure but I asked for alternative cure so she suggested that I take omega 3 fish oil and it works my blood pressure is back to normal. In addition to taking omega 3 fish oil I've changed my food intake habits, I stop eating any food that contain high sodium. I also get other benefits from taking my facial skin looks better and my eye sight improved.

I take Nordic Naturals Arctic Omega 3 fish oil, it is what my naturopathic doctor recommended. I also take a probiotic and an occasional digestive enzyme.

It's hard to keep up with which wonder food or supplement is in favour and which isn't....

I have just about given up trying to keep up, but i think if you can get something beneficial in a whole food then it is the better way to do it

Eat oily fish (so long as it isn't glowing?)

Fish oil is fragile and the stuff in the capsule is probably a mixture of old, damaged and hydrogenated.
If you are going to take one then don't buy the cheap one.
