I bought my son a bottle of Omega and the pills are huge. He can swallow pills but isn't crazy about swallowing these ones. (He has an ng tube in right now, too.) Can someone recommend a smaller Omega, please?
I think most of the vitamin manufacturers have Omega 3 targeted for kids, they are flavoured, chewable, gummi type things. Are these not what you are looking for?
From a personal point of view, after much reading here on the forum and elsewhere I moved away from fish oil and formed the opinion that krill oil was the better product for its effectiveness. There is the added bonus that the gel caps are considerably smaller, they are more expensive but that can be somewhat offset by needing less per day.
I do note that these are now also available in the chewable version for kids…

Thank you for the suggestion. My son is 16yo, but I am sure he wouldn't mind the chewables. I was looking at the krill oil as well, but was unsure which could be better. I am also looking into probiotics. Will be checking out this forum to see what others are using/doing.
DS uses VSL #3 DS its prescription probiotics but you can get regular strength vsl#3.
He has had a lot of rectal issues so the Gi tried those last year since probiotics are not very usefull for crohn's in general .
As far as anti-inflammatories go the other thing that may interest you is Turmeric. I had read quite a bit about it on the forum but hadn’t acted on it until the GI recommended it. This is a good thread…
