On the rollercoaster again...

Hi All

Just looking for a place to let off steam! We are back on the rollercoaster..again...

DS not been great for 10 days or so. Bloods back today: inflammatory markers normal, ferritin 9 - needs iron infusions, wbc 2.6 should be at least 4.

WBC means cannot go on any immunesuppressants until seen haemotologist ( a new department for us to visit!) so needs to go back on 8 weeks of exclusive EN.

May need scopes too.

He is in an important exam year so the pressure is on. It is such a rotten disease and thses poor teenagers have enough to deal with. He copes so well - we are really proud of him but he so doesn't need it. Please give him a break!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are so right!! An awful disease. It needs to wiped out with a cure...and Soon! Sending hugs your way. Does your son's GI have a plan and what meds is he on now?
