Hi, all. I just had a colonoscopy done 2 weeks ago and these were the results. I'd like to know what this means. Thanks!
1) Colon (right colon)- biopsy shows rare crypt with an intraepithelial neutrophil of uncertain significance. Increased number of mast cells, crypt abscesses, basal plasmacytosis, and background architecture distortion are absent.
2) Rectum (biopsy)- rectal mucosa with mild fibrosis of the lamina propria, reactive glandular changes, and focal acute inflammation including mild cryptitis.
3) In the terminal ileum, 2 tan, irregular tissue fragments which each measured 0.4 cm in greatest dimension.
4)In the right colon, there was a tan, irregular tissue fragment measuring 0.6 cm.
5) The left colon had 1 tan, irregular tissue fragment measuring 0.5 cm.
6) The rectal had 2 tan, irregular tissue fragments ranging from 0.2 to 0.3 cm.
*****Please write back with your thoughts. I'm curious what this means.
