I developed some oral thrush from the Flagyl. I know in the past I have taken the lozenges but I'm wondering if it may just go away on its own?

I would think it makes no sense to start any treatment for it until after I discontinue the antibiotics, right?

Bumping to see if anyone can answer this. I'd rather avoid taking more medicine if this might resolve on its own.

I found that warm salt water rinses and listerine several times a day helped get rid of this. I get that every time I take Flagyl. Hope this helps.

I generally get rid of it once the treatment is over. It is quite annoying during though... On the other hand, I normally take nystatin in oral suspension which I don't swallow. Still an additional medication but since that thrust can be rather annoying, sometimes I wait until flagyl is over, sometimes I don't (depends if I have it for 1 week or many).
