Not sure if this is related to my younger daughters Crohn's disease or not.
About two or three weeks ago my little daughter came home from a friend with a small pus filled blister on her ankle. She said it burned. I called the doctor they said put cream and a bandaid on it and see how it looked in the morning. It stayed a few days and then went away.
Last night we went on an evening walk. When we got back to the car she started complaining and crying that her leg was burning. I looked down and on her ankle was another blister. We took out the first aid kit and cleaned it put some neopsporin and a bandaid on it. I had her shower well when we got home. This morning she complained that it was heating again and now the whole area was reddened about an inch to two inches around and the blister was slightly bigger.. I marked the area with a marker and put some anti histamine cream and a new bandaid over the blister.
I looked online for answers and the only thing I came up with is an unusual reaction to mosquito bites. Has anyone heard of anything like this?
The blister does resemble poison ivy but I don't think it is as poison ivy takes hours to break out after exposure and this literally was instantaneous and also it is only one blister and poison ivy is usually multiple blisters.
I know some others here have kids that have weird allergic reactions so wondering if anyone else's kids have had a reaction like this to a mosquito bite and also wondering if this could be a Crohn's thing.
