Other Medications

Hey guys, I have a question. I have already been on Remicade (stopped working), Pentasa (gave me pancreatitus ...sp?), and i am now on Humira (One shot every week). I have only been on the once weekly does for 2 weeks but have been on humira since July 3. It doesn't seem to be doing a whole lot but I do know it can take a while especially for patients who built up an immunity to Remicade. My question is, what other medications are out there? I know I could ask my doctor but I want to know some personal experiences with medicines besides Remicade and Humira.

I know there's another drug called Cimzia. I don't know of anyone personally that's tried it. I'm actually supposed to start Humira next Thursday, and am hopeful that it will work, as it seems most people on this board have had success with it.

I have been on Entocort and so far it has been great...milder steroid like Prednisone.

I have also heard of Imuran, Cipro, 6MP, and LDN.

Try searching the forums many people have talked about their experiences with these meds.

yeah, i have tried entocort before...it doesnt seem to work too well. As for the others, i will ask my DR about it, thanks!

Be aware that there is a recent member who had horrible side effects from Imuran. Imuran and 6mp can also cause cancer in teenagers and young adults.
