I was told I had Crohn's last year. Everything has been good but the past 4 nights I have had tarry black stools and my right side of my belly has been killing me. I wake up at least 4 times a night to use the rest room and the pain has gotten so severe i do not know which end will be on the toilet my rear or my mouth. Mouth not literally on the toilet by the way:wink:
I know I need to see the Doc. but I just lost my job and will not have insurance until March. So do you think this is too serious to wait or can I push it till March?

Black tarry poo could be a sign of trauma inside, maybe an ulcer? Certain meds can make your poo black such as iron supplements. But.......
I think you should see a doc to rule out any digestive tract bleeding.
Vomiting is an indication of blockage/obstruction too.

Hello Angie, welcome to the forum. I agree that you should try and see a doc sooner rather than later - I wouldn't leave this until March. Is there perhaps a reliable free clinic you could attend? Does your local hospital do anything to help people without insurance?

I am sorry to hear about your recent troubles. Waiting until March appears to be quite a gamble as you have had symptoms already for 4 days. I know you have to weigh all the factors (including cost) but it seems like something did change a couple days ago and it needs to be investigated.
