pain big time

hi ya all, need help big time
i am playing the waiting game to go on Remicade (Infliximab) its now been 5 weeks from then till now i have been on prednisolone and have now got it down to 5mg a day and azathioprine 150mg a day. i have had crohns for 18years now, as of today i have had pain like i have never had before in my tummy, chest and upper back and also sore tongue and shortness of breath, heads everwere and dont no what to do????????

Hey Hugs, welcome :bigwave: If you have those type of symptoms now Remicade maybe not for you, I don'tknow but you could reacting to AZA.

I have had Crohns almost 20 years , and been on Remicade, I reacted badly to it it and Humira stopped working, been on every med, but I cant seem to get into remission...I must have been naughty in a past life .... I just go day by day. :hang: Glad you found us, lots of support for ya!

I wish I could give more helpful advice but the best thing I can recommend is heat for the pain. I usually take a hot bath or have a hot water bottle to get some comfort from it. Perhaps what you're going through is as a result of tapering down the Prednisone to 5mg? It might be worth contacting your GP or GI about the pain you're currently experiencing if you don't get relief from it soon? Hope you feel better asap.
