Pain during intercourse

We were in the middle of having sex, when I got a sharp pain in my right side. We thought it was the position so we did a different one and it helped for a little, and then we switched it up again and the pain got even worse. I went to go to the bathroom and I can't cause it hurts so bad. And now it hurts to even move. I don't know what to do.. Any ideas of what caused it? Or how to make it not hurt?

If the pain is too extreme then please go to the ER. Possible causes that I can think of off the top of my head for that much pain could be an obstruction, kidney stone or Appendicitis (if you still have your appendix). Do you have any other symptoms? How bad is your pain on a scale of 1-10? Do you have any nausea, vomiting and/or a fever?

I've always found sex painful - sort of like a bruising inside feeling and it was only when I was diagnosed with crohn's that I realised this was probably the cause.
However it was never extreme pain so I think you should get it checked out.
Hopefully its now resolved for you.

Hi Marrisa,

I was having the same problem as you. I went to the doctors and they tested me for STI's then sent me for an ultra scan to test for cysts they all came back negative. Long story short, turns out I had an obstruction and was severely constipated. I'm now taking laxido and hoping it will make the pain go away!
