I was getting iron injections weekly for months on end. But I haven't had one in 4 months. I know the dye from the injection can leave a mark....but I actually have very large bruising at the injection spots, on both hips. The pain is very bad and is very deep into the hip.I can't sleep very well because of it and is worse when I wake up for 3-4 hours, but still lingers throughout the day.
I think I have read that hip pain can be an EIM of Crohn's. Is it possible that the injections made me worse?
I need to bring my ferritin levels up because I have restless legs. My family doctor thinks I shouldn't get them if they hurt that much. But if my legs start acting up again I won't get any sleep at night. Kind of a catch 22.
