Good evening. I have Crohn's and am currently in a flare. I have the usual diarrhea with mucus, I also have an abscess and probably a fistula. I am having the typical abdominal pain that I get with flares, but today it has been on my lower left side. I usually get it on my right side, or my whole lower abdomen. I know I'm probably being paranoid, but do you guys get pain on your left side too? I have always been very tender and sore on my right side so it's just a little weird for me to have it on my left. I also haven't had a flare like this in a while so maybe I just don't remember it being on the left side, but it seems weird for it to be on the left. I will be seeing my GI soon so I will mention it to him, but just thought it ask you guys. Thanks!

Left side pain especially in the sigmoid area could be due to the diarrhea you are getting from the flare which may cause some soreness.
Also pain can be elusive and although felt in the left side could be due to right side colon issues.
You should be letting your GI know what is happening...it may be they will want to see you sooner than your next appointment
