Hello,

Does anyone else have pain everyday?

Mine is always on the lower right side and although it's not always really bad it is ALWAYS there. (dull ache, crampy, sometimes stabby, i'm often bloated to)

I just had my blood test results back Friday and my CRP is back down to normal (has been quite high the last few weeks) so my nurse says I have no inflammation at the moment.

Does anyone know what else might cause this pain? Narrowings etc?

Im on Pentasa, Budesonide, Azathioprine and have an mri booked for 20 Dec.

Thanks :)

I have pains in the lower right and left and sometimes under the belly button the weird thing is I had a colonoscopy 2=3 weeks ago and no i'm in more pain but the put me on infliximab and it takes a few infusions for the pain to stop but yeah i'm constantly in pain and sometimes live on pain killers for days on end

I had exactly the pain you describe up until three months ago. My CRP has always been raised, but I know a lot of people on the forum have had inflammation without any markers. Strangely too, I had a colonoscopy about two weeks after the pain had almost gone, and it showed I still had severe inflammation in my ileocaecal valve which I think is round about where you are describing.
How long have you been on the Aza? Hopefully the MRI will give a clearer picture of the state of play.

Yep, like you some days are worse than others and been this way since 2003 after my second surgery... No meds except flagyl keeps down the flares and bloat.

Just got all my tests back and all were normal...guess I am not normal!

thanks for the replies :)

been on Aza for nearly 4 months now...I'm hoping the MRI will show something!

My worst and most frequente pain is real low on the left side... just above my pubic bone it seems. Its always worse in the morning and eases up as the day wears on. The doctor told me it is inflammation in that part of my colon. Just seems to be a bad area for me. I have had this for years. When I am having bouts of bleeding it is always the most painful spot

Hi and yes, I have pain every day. Mine is just below my ribs, right in the center and feels like a butcher knife going through my stomach. :( I've been taking Imuran since early October and I'm scheduled for my 3rd Remicade infusion this Tuesday (Dec. 6). I had hoped that the pain would subside by now, but haven't been so lucky. The GI doc won't give me Lortab anymore, she said that was only to get me through until my first infusion. She put me on Amitriptyline, but so far it seems to do nothing. Yay for me. :(
