I have been having lower belly pain all afternoon. It hurts when I sit down like ice pick shooting pains that radiate up my side and under my arm. It started about 2 hours after eating lunch. It feels like pelvic pain. I was shopping when I noticed it was getting harder and harder to walk because of the pain. I left the store and couldn't bend to get in the car. It seemed to pass for a bit, but when I tried to go to the bathroom it got way worse. Anybody have any ideas. I was diagnosed with crohns about a year ago. This has never happened before.

hi callypat. sorry to hear about your pain - my advice would be to tell someone about it, either your gp, or maybe speak to the local a&e deparment if you dont want to visit there initially. i dont think i've ever had pain radiate up under my arm, so i couldnt even begin to advise what it could be. but my gut feeling (sorry no pun intended) would be to not sit and worry about this on your own - get it checked out.

hope its nothing, and it goes away on its own though. keep us posted.

A one time incident could be food poisoning. If it continues it certainly should be checked out. Could be a hernia, if it feels more like an external type pain.
