Petachia ?? cause

hi all,

L has had two episodes of petachia which come up on his arms following blood pressure monitoring after inflixmab infusion and on his buttocks fron just sitting working on laptop. hosp checked platelet count low normal and clotting that ok too.
has anyone else noticed this, could it be caused by infliximab, may not be link but both episodes were few days post immunisation flu *** and 14yr old booster his buttocks look like he has been attacked by lion like huge scratches.

My son had two episodes as well, his pediatrician and GI sent him in for lab work both times. (They both looked at the rash and agreed it was Petachia) His labs ended up being fine. His white blood cell count was low at the time from the 6mp he takes. Once that number went up he didn't get it anymore. I don't know if the two are related or just a coincidence. Either way, it ended up being nothing.

His looked like huge scratches too, he got them from washing himself in the shower. He would apply very little pressure but would get the bruising, broken blood vessel sort of look.

thats really helpful looks a bit better today so will just watch and see.
