i havent been on here for a month as i felt like i kept moaning and didnt even have a definate diagnosis (although i thought i did lol)
until today!!!!!!!!!!!

my result say ...........................

single area of small bowel ulceration and stricturing with capsule retention.
consistent with a diagnosis of crohns disease.
suggest plain axr to exclude capsule retention and suggest sending stool for faecal calprotectin .
happy to have her reffered to me if you like.



the pill cam only went for 1 h 40 m
its now stuck and god knows how it comes out now anyone know??

my gp said i will most likely have to see a surgeon to do something about the stricture .

im soooo glad i finally have the diagnosis 100%!!!!!!!!!
it was awful being in limbo as most of you are well aware !
now i will finally get the treatment ive needed since christmas.

Yay for the diagnosis results, boo for having Crohns! . One of my things I wont do is have a pill cam, many get them stuck...some stay on clear fluids and one had to have a surgeon take it out. With strictures it is risky. A small bowel follow through would of showed that. I prefer colonoscopies when I need too. So are they going to put you on meds? Good you finally feel like you were struggling but hope you dont suffer alot with the disease.

Glad you have a dx finally. I hope this means you can get on the road to recovery now!

im still wondering how this pill cam will come out if it hasnt already lol
i also noticed on my letter that my gi who is useless as ive said before wrote that i had no response to prednisolone!!
excuse my language but what the f*** is he talking about, he knows full well i couldnt eat for 3 weeks in hospital until i was put on pred ,then when i was taken off it i was back to square 1!!

i am so glad the other gi has said he will see me coz i dont think im ever gonna get anywhere with my present 1 , ive been with him 7 years and he never believed that i was ill and would never order tests for me .
it will be nice to have someone who actually knows what theyre doing or at least getting a fresh face on things .
