pill cam results

i havent been on here for a month as i felt like i kept moaning and didnt even have a definate diagnosis (although i thought i did lol)
until today!!!!!!!!!!!

my result say ...........................

single area of small bowel ulceration and stricturing with capsule retention.
consistent with a diagnosis of crohns disease.
suggest plain axr to exclude capsule retention and suggest sending stool for faecal calprotectin .
happy to have her reffered to me if you like.



the pill cam only went for 1 h 40 m
its now stuck and god knows how it comes out now anyone know??

my gp said i will most likely have to see a surgeon to do something about the stricture .

im soooo glad i finally have the diagnosis 100%!!!!!!!!!
it was awful being in limbo as most of you are well aware !
now i will finally get the treatment ive needed since christmas.

Congrats on your diagnosis! I'm still undiagnosed myself so I know how important it is to have a firm diagnosis - I've been waiting for one for a year and a half now. Glad you are able to get proper treatment and hopefully some relief!

It's kinda ironic being happy to be told you have Crohn's isn't it, but I completely understand having been in a similar situation myself. Will be interesting to hear how they get the pill cam out: without too much trouble or discomfort, I hope. Wishing you all the very best and a smooth road to recovery from now on.
