pill cam scheduled

I finally got a call that my pill cam is scheduled for Friday. This is my second pill cam because the 1st one did not make it through the small intestine during the 8 hours of recording. Hoping this one films the entire small intestine since GI thinks this is where my problem is. Still having pain but no diarrhea for a few weeks. I have noticed that when I do have a formed poo, it is thin and flat. Still running a low grade fever most days. I really hope I get some answers this time. I am tired of all the test. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Good luck with the pill cam - that was the test that showed Crohn's in my small bowel.
I had to really battle to get that test but i knew they were not seeing active Crohn's with all the other usual tests.
Re the thin Motion - on the rare occasion when it was semi formed it was as thin as a pencil.

Hope you get some answers

Hmmm... May I ask you what happened with the pill cam if it did not make it through? I mean it got out at least? Otherwise I would definitely ask for a dummy pill, especially if you have thin and flat poo.
If it did get out but just did not made the whole transit during the recording time. I would suggest you to walk like a lot if you can, like go up stairs and walk as much as you can while you have it. Chew gum and drink as much warm water as you can once they allow you to do so. I have a ileostomy so I know mine traveled the whole small intestine in about 4 hours last time when I've done all that. The previous time I did it, I was really tired so I went back home and slept... well, the cam got out 16 hours later that time...
I hope the test goes well this time! GL

The doctors office called me 5 days after the test and asked me to get a xray to make sure it was not still in the small intestine. The camera showed up on xray in my left colon. They said it would pass soon and I'm assuming it did! The GI did mention a slow transit time. Thanks for the advice about moving around. That makes sence to me. I have a sit down job but I will make sure to get up often. I will try chewing the gum too. That always seems to make my tummy rumble and feel like its contracting. Thanks again for the advice.
