Pinkish discharge

I have pinkish discharge in my underwear, but I can't tell where it's coming from! I have tried using white tissue to dab around a bit in various places and not a trace of pink. I have got a mirror and torch and done a contortionist impression and can't see a thing out of the ordinary anywhere. I am on the pill, in the middle of a pack (1 weeks since last period ended, 2 weeks to go till next), and have never experienced spotting before. I haven't had sex recently. I don't have any hemmies or fissures at the moment, or blood in my stools. And I have no itching, burning, pain or soreness anywhere, other than the usual mild irritation I always get after a BM.

Any ideas? (I know y'all gonna tell me to see my doc, but I am off work a week on Fri. I have a lot of minor things I want to see the doc about then, and I was hoping this could be added to the list? Obviously if you all think it's something urgent I'll go before).

I wouldn't be real concerned if you already have an appointment. If you are not having pain (or different pain rather), no fever or burning/itching, I would wait too. If it changes abruptly or becomes painful, high-tail it to the doctor sooner.
Now the disclaimer: I am not a doctor, just an old busy-body. Take what I say with a grain of salt.

if it's pinkish i really wouldn't worry. could be a completely normal little mid-cycle spotting, or residue from the last period... how long have you been on the pill?

next time you go for a wee, rather than wipe, just hold the tissue on your front bits then look to see if you can figure where it's coming from... if it seems to be where you wee from, then i'd definitely go see your gp and take a urine sample with you.

Was it a one off thing or is it still happening? I wouldn't really worry too much if it was just a one off. It could of just been some spotting even though you've never had any before.

Sometimes I get a little bit of random bleeding, but only after a BM and nothing that usually shows in my underwear.

I have *thought* I had pink discharge before, but normally I wear coloured undies so it's hard to tell, and with no pink on the tissue or anything, figured I imagined it. However yesterday I had a pantyliner in, and against the white, it was definately pink!

As for the pill, I have been on it almost 9 years! So figure my body must be used to it by now.

When I go to the doctors, I'll give them a urine sample and ask them to check me out (anyone else hate doing those? I always get embarrassed cos in the morning after meds its the colour of hi vis jackets!)

lol.

mine is usually normal colour, but the one thing i hate about doing those samples is that the pre-written labels can get 'smudged' while trying to aim.... times like that i wish i was a bloke.....

i hope it settles soon, Rebecca, but best to mention it & get it checked out.

In A and E one time they gave me a foil cup thing, like a pukka pie container, gives you something bigger to aim for! And I've used emesis bowls before. Though I wouldn't fancy carrying those through the full waiting room back to the drs office!

No sign of any pink (or any other colour for that matter) today!

Yeah the A&E containers are great, I was so relieved when they pulled that out of the cupboard and not a pot lol!

I've been on The Pill a long time too and sometimes little things like that can happen, it's nothing to worry about.
