Please can anyone help

Hi all, please can you help me I'm at the end of my tether. For the last two years I've suffered bad with very loose stools and slight blood, but 6 weeks ago had a very bad bleed so I went to the doctors, he said I may have ibd and did blood tests and stool sample, the bloods came back fine but stool sample showed white blood cells so he booked me in at the gastroenterology clinic which is tomorrow, but yesterday had really bad bowel movements again then in afternoon no bowel just loads of blood again, rang doctors on call and they sent me straight to a and e, they tested all my blood again which again came back Fine and sent me on my way saying they don't no what it could be wait for my appointment, also so much pain in stomach most of the time with bloating for a long time, was diagnosed with ibs 20 years ago but over the last two years symptoms have dramatically changed along side with the showing of blood which in the last 6 weeks is getting rediculas, I'm so scared when I go tomorrow because the bloods is fine they won't to the test with the tube and camera, and I can't live like this anymore I've had enough, please can you help

It sounds like you desperately need to get referred to a GI or beg someone to give you a colonoscopy so you can potentially get a diagnosis. I'm so sorry that you're suffering like this and hope you get results soon so you can get treatment for this.

My husband is going to go with me tomorrow and help me push for it, just don't understand why the stool sample results isn't enough for them to 100% do the test

I guess they were checking for inflammation markers, but that you're experiencing bloody bowel movements sounds like more than enough proof of inflammation to me. I really hope that you can get the help you deserve tomorrow.

Fingers crossed they will do the colonoscopy. I think they actually value the stool test results more than the bloods. Where are you?

I've had exactly same situation as you only not the blood but mucus. Told ibs for years. Then they tested my stool the other week for inflammation and bingo the next things gp is calling me to say possible ibd. I've been referred for colonoscopy and GI doc.

Thanks le30 I'm in Suffolk uk, just hope I can get somewhere with docs tomorrow and they book me in for colonoscopy as can't take it not knowing, can't even enjoy meal out with my kids at the min
