I'm so confused with all the potential treatments :( Some people have success with liquid diet, others SCD, others Paleo....so if you're in a flare, technically Ensure would be good...but it has sugar which is the opposite of the SCD rule! What on earth are you supposed to eat?! Can you just drink store-bought chicken broth?
Oh that's another thing...someone on here (i forget who..) said chicken has uric acid in it? Is too much of it bad? lol

I'm terrified of this new pain (diarrhea was never a symptom, just abd pain) but i feel a sense of slight urgency (not having to go though...). I've been feeling depressed ever since starting 6mg of Entocort last Friday, and been on LDN for 2 weeks....

advice? Thank you :)

Liquid diet (Ensure, Boost like drinks) seem to be more for short term duration to combat flares/symptoms. My son did 8 weeks of nutritional drink (Peptide) in place of taking Prednisone to combat a flare last fall.
SCD is more of a complete lifestyle diet change you would follow long term.
When my son was on LDN we attempted SCD but only lasted about a month and then went gluten free for about 6 months by that time he was feeling good and there was not difference when we added gluten back in. Having said that he flared about 2 weeks into starting LDN and if I could have convinced him at that time I think it would have made a difference to do EEN (complete liquid (Ensure/Boost) for 6 weeks.
LDN took some time for us before we saw a difference it was about the 4 week mark he started to improve and then it was slowly from that point but he was no longer in a big flare.
