Ok i have dull pain in my abdomen that will suddenly become intense; i have had 2 rounds of remicade so far and idk whats goin on with my gut. I went to the ER (probably shoulda picked a better hospital) n the doctor said it sounded like my gall bladder shot me up with pain meds gave me a prescription n sent me on my way no tests done whatsoever. The medicine isnt even touching the sudden intense pain that is all over my entire gut, even the skin feels sore to the touch and i feel like im gonna explode any thoughts or help or anything?? Im scared please help me

I think the answer is in your post - go to the ER at another hospital. Seriously, if you are in that much pain, go now. Have you got someone who can go with you? Also, have you tried calling your GI? I guess they might not be available on a Saturday, but it might be worth a try.
Let us know how you get on.

I agree , if you are ever in doubt, always go to emergency! Perontinitis gets into your bloodstream you will be in grave danger. Keep us posted!

The peritoneum is a serous membrane that covers the abdominal cavity and internal organs. When this becomes infected it is known as peritonitis.

In Crohn's disease things like a ruptured/perforated bowel or abscess can cause the membrane to become infected. It gets into the bloodstream because the peritoneum has layers and one of these layers has blood flow between it, so whatever infection you have enters the blood stream that way.

Hope that makes sense!

Dusty. :)

Jyeager, I hope by now you've gone to a different emergency room. The doctor can't diagnose you without tests. And as the others have stated, if you get peritonitis in your blood, it is serious.

Good luck!
