Fist time posting so I apologize if I do anything that is not "standard procedure."
I was diagnosed with Crohn's when I was 10 and placed on pentasa.. had a resection at 14 due to a plethora of abscesses and fistulas... i believe 12- 18 inches were removed. After said resection I was placed on 6mp, and have been symptom free for the last eight years. Getting a colonoscopy this coming friday as i recently have seen some blood in my stools and it's been 8 years since my GI last laid eyes on my beautiful colon. Got my bloodwork taken last week and my sed rate/ c reactive protein/ white blood count were all "outstanding." With that being said, recently i have noticed my bowel movements are a tad bit smaller and seem to more constipated. I go everyday, never have d, but my stools seem to be a hell of a lot more formed than before. Does not hurt when go to the bathroom. Also my stomach has been rumbling much more than usual and i have been burping often at night. For those of you who have had strictures or partial bowel obstructions do any of these symptoms ring a bell? Thanks in advance and good luck to all of you in your continuing battle with this disease.

I would mention it to your doc, good timing as you do have a scope coming up. Any changes in other day to day life for you? A drop in activity or change in diet? A lot of things can affect how your bowels move aside from narrowings and strictures, but it is worth some monitoring.

Welcome to the forum!

Definitely mention this to your doctor. Have you had any life changes recently? More stress or a change in sleep? These can affect your stool as well as obvious changes in diet or activity. Fortunately, you already have the scope scheduled, so if there are any problems, your doctor will see it and be able to work with you to come up with a treatment option.

Hi and welcome. Sorry to hear of the ups and downs you've had across the years. I have a partial obstruction, it causes me sensation of fullness after eating hardly anything, heartburn (without reflux), nausea, pain and D. When it obstructs fully it causes severe out of this world pain - cannot move a millimetre and can't believe I'm still conscious with it, as well as severe nausea. You might want to pop over to the stricture /obstruction thread. Sorry I don't know how to link it, but if you go to the surgery forum it's one of the stickys at the top. If in doubt then seek advice from your doctors.
