Post colonscopy pain, help!

I had my first colonoscopy yesterday and I am experiencing spasms in my right side and it is tender to touch. Is this normal? I don't want to go to the hospital if this is a normal reaction. Thanks.

I would say it is a normal reaction, yes. If you develop a temperature or the pain doesn't go away after a few days, I would seek medical advice.

You could always phone the clinic and speak to a staff member with any concerns

Could be normal reaction after having a tube rub against your raw, irritated flesh, but a call to the clinic may be helpful for peace of mind. Think about what you ate/drank today and perhaps something irritated you as well.

Im on my 4th Colonoscopy and can say that sounds normal but if it's worrying you or it persists or gets worse there's no harm running it past the hospital.
