Post op question.

I was wondering how long after protocolectomy surgery does it take for your rear end to start feeling comfortable to sit again? I'll be 3 weeks post op on Wednesday and it still hurts like hell to sit. They opened the incision on my rear last Friday and packed it to help with the drainage. That actually made it feel somewhat better. This seems to big the biggest issue I'm having right now and wanted to know from those of you who have been through this how long it may take to for this pain to get better.

I can't help you with this, but my wife had it done and she said it took a long time for her to be comfortable, apx, 3 months. I reall didn't want to say that, but we all tell the truth here. I guess its, if you don't want the truth, don't ask. Sorry. I'm sure it's faster for other people, but my wife is a tough girl.

I've seen a lot of people here mention 3 to 6 months... 6 months if there were problems with infection, etc.
