Can anyone tell me whether, after surgery, I will need vitamin supplements?

It all depends on what kind of surgery - taking a multi vitamin at least isn't a bad idea for anyone. If you have the TI taken out, you will need vitamin B12, as that is where it is mostly absorbed.
