My husband had part of his sigmoid colon removed in July. The drain that was inserted 2 weeks prior did not drain so his surgery took 3 1/2 hours. It was a very hard surgery according to surgeon as my husband had so much feces and
undigested food that had to be removed.
He was admitted for the 5th time Wednesday as his incision in stomach reopened and we could not keep up with drainage. It was poring out of him faster than I could get the gauze back on it.
He has been in hospital on and off since July (mostly IN)
Looking for anyone that may have experienced this.
He has an NG tube, a temporary (hopefully) colostomy bad and a bag on stomach to catch drainage.
He is doing better but was close to death a few times.
There is so much more but I will start. Here. He is 67 yrs old
