How long can you take predfoam for continulously? I first had a 2 week course when i was diagnosed with colitis of the rectum. Then they put me on mesren, but not sure if this is keeping it at bay as I still feel sore and have diaherra now and then, the predfoam was really good but being a steroid not sure how long you can take it!

I haven't taken the predfoam, but I have been on cortisone enemas a few times. However, I assume they are similar. My GI said the enemas work topically, and only 10% gets absorbed. So, they are much safer than oral steroids.
I have taken them for several continuous weeks. If you stay on them for more than 2 weeks, you should taper off instead of stopping abruptly (for example - one week skip two doses, the next week do every other night, and the final week take only 2 doses).
