Hello.

The only option the doctor could give be to treat the ulcers in the terminal ileum is predisone.

The predisone is working. I have less right side pain. However I am experiencing horrendous side effects. Headache and dizziness. Feeling weak.

I am 100% torn. I want to keep taking the meds to allow my side to heal but at the same time the side effects are killing me.

Not to sure what to do. Ultimately I will email GI. Taking the predisone for a month was suppose to help disprove or solidify that I have ibd.

Just feels like I'm complicating everything because my body hate the meds that they give me.

When is your course of prednisone supposed to end? A normal round should only have about a month left in it. I would hope he has some follow up plan for what he is doing at the end of the course. I do hope for you that the ulcers will be permanently gone at the end of it.

Did you already try budesonide? Ulcers in the terminal ileum is the perfect target location for the Entocort formulation of budesonide. It's a steroid like prednisone but with significantly lower side effects.

I was just thinking about Budesonide and then I saw Scipio already posted.
It would do the same job without the systemic side effects of prednisone.
