Hello everyone! I'm a 14y/o (turning 15) female in grade 9 which happens to be in the high school where I live. I was diagnosed with crohn's last June but I was undiagnosed for around 3 years. Which means I haven't grown at all for almost 3 years. I'm tiny and I hate it. I don't mean short, I am but I can live with that, I mean small. I can't get any nice swimsuits or clothes that I like, everyone always mistakes me for like a 12y/o and I'm not the best at sports because my bones are 12.5y/o (I had a bone age test done). I'm having a bad flare so I'm on prednisone for a second time this school year. I got really bad moon face last time and was wondering if there's anything I can do to prevent it this time round. I'm trying to avoid excess salt and drink more liquids but I would like to know if there's any other foods that are bad or help for that matter. Also how quickly did you guys taper, my doc says 5mg every week but I'd rather do 5mg every 5 days. I'm on 40mg for 4 weeks then tapering but I want to do it only for 2 weeks if it starts working quickly to avoid all the bad side effects.
Thanks

I didn't taper much in my time, but that's because the doctors where I was at were irresponsible, and ended up giving me withdrawals from several other drugs (mainly painkillers, I don't know if pred has a withdrawl period). I'd advise staying away from empty calories like pop, and chips, bread, stuff like that. Try to keep on proteins and veggies and fruits. Eating fish is your friend
