Prep tips?

Hi I got a colonoscopy Friday and my prep is tomorrow. Got any tips? Can u mix the solution that morning and have it ready that afternoon? Also can you use any other stool softener pills? Thanks!

The prep for me is clear liquid, miralax and dulcolax tablets.

If you take the dulcolax tonight (I assume you're taking 4) and the Mirilax tomorrow, you shouldn't need anything else. I mixed it earlier in the day with blue Gatorade, and just drank all afternoon and evening.

Not sure if your GI said this, but if you're not completely empty by Friday morning, you can do a fleet enema in the morning before your procedure.

Heya.. I've use PicoPrep (over the counter). You only need to dissolve the mix into 2 glasses of water (250ml). You drink one glass the day before around 3pm, and the second 3 hours later. I have done a few different preps, and found this to be the easiest (smallest quantity and most pleasant taste), and the most effective. Within a few hours, you're completely cleaned out. You don't want to waste time the following morning freaking out because you're not passing clear fluid. I honestly wish people have of told me to use this prep before!
