Preparations to start Humira

My GI doctor recommended I get the Zoster vaccine (shingles) and the pnuemovax for pneumonia before starting Humira. We are currently waiting on labs to come back. I am on Pentasa now.

Anyone had any issues or good results?? I have two small children, so I want to protect myself as much as possible.

I've been on Humira for a while and it did help my inflammation. No side effects at all for me. The only thing we did before starting was a chest x-ray and bloods and fecal calprotectin to check inflammatory markers.

Did you discuss using an immunomodulator as well?

Thank you for your reply. He mentioned that in the future, he may add in something like methotrexate or 6mp. But, for now, just Humira. He said it has less reactions than something like Remicade.
