Probiotics and immunosuppressants

Do you know if we can take probiotics while on immunosuppressants (like Imuran, 6MP etc.....)? I read somewhere that if you are taking immunosuppressants, you might actaully get an infection from probiotics, such as in the article below:

"People who are immunosuppressed should seek medical advice before using probiotics. It is possible that the probiotic itself may cause a serious infection. One death was reportedly linked to probiotic use in a person taking immunosuppressant medication. "

I would guess, but do not know for sure, that the risk would be greatest in someone who actually has a severely compromised immune system. Someone with full blown AIDS, or who has had bone marrow destroyed by radiation.

One death is probably a fluke of a severely sick individual.
