So, I was cruisin the internet today and see that there is a study out there for taking prebiotics. Never heard of that. Is that something you can get a vita store? And, can you take them together Pro and Prebiotics? Thanks for your advice. Sue

I saw the dog food companies advertising prebiotics in dog food....Until then, I had never heard of it....I guess I should find out what the difference is.

Probiotics actually contain "good" flora in them. Prebiotics help to sustain the good flora by providing the right kind of nutrients. They are optimum to use together. Right now I take Florastor but no prebiotics. Which prebiotics are you considering?

Prebiotics are found in some breads, banana's and some yogurts. I use the high probiotics and eat banana's and ancient grains bread. My safe zones and help alot, because i stopped taking VSL and I got bad, and now back on it again, the pain is subsiding... not cheap tho.

I am not sure which prebiotic to try...So any suggestions? I say that there is a university doing a study on prebiotics, that were going well...but, it didn't say which to use....I thought the GNC guy would pipe in...Sue :)

For some reason I cant tolerate any kind of probiotic, not even yoghurt:( Ive tried the Specific carbohydrate approach, but I get so nauseous and the pain is unbearable! Any one else have this problem?

Probiotics are natural, you have tried from the fridge probiotics, never buy them on a shelf.

yep, Ive tried so may different types. the last one I tried was Natren acidophilus. I tried starting at a very low dose to see if that would help. But nope, still get very nauseous, had heaps of pain and generally felt worse than what I did before I started:(
