Question about C. Diff Testing

I'm a little bit curious about how c diff is tested.....is the testing only done by stool sample, or can they test urine and/or blood?

The one time I had it years ago from taking a nuclear antibiotic, they stuck a giant q-tip up my butt to take a sample.

Testing by stool sample or direct examination by colonoscopy or flex sigmoidoscopy, though I usually only hear of it being tested by stool sample.

I was tested positive for c-diff but negative for c-diff toxins whats that mean??
