Geez i seem to post alot of questions but i am just learning and am trying to learn as much as i can. So TIA for everyone who is able to help me out!

What do you all take for multi vitamins or any vitamins i guess????

i would assume i should be taking something to help get them into me but i assume that people with crohns needs certain things more. maybe?

I keep hearing B vitamins and Folic acid, and wonder if pre natal are the way to go????

suggestions?

In my opinion, if at all possible, you should get as many vitamin and mineral levels tested as possible. Then supplement the specific ones you're deficient in. I feel vitamins should be treated as medication and just as you wouldn't blindly take a medication, you shouldn't do so with vitamins as well. There ARE potential side effects, interactions, and toxicities for some. In addition, if you are indeed deficient in something due to crohn's rather than dietary factors, then a multivitamin is highly unlikely to provide you enough of what you need to get to optimal levels.

Yeah, I would stay away from tose 1000000-in-1 tablets. You wanna give your liver a break. Just check what you're short on and get a few sunrays to get vitamin D. There is a lot of crap in multivitamins too, some use binders some have coating with lots of chemical garbage and many have artificial flavor enchancers..crap imo. I took multivitamins for 2 months every day and it didn't help me in any way, it just upset by stomach. Get checked if you're worried for specific vitamins and eat eat eat to get whatever you need imo. For B vitamins, if you are really short, they can just give a shot after they checked, takes 2 seconds, usually given in your bum, there's no way of knowing if what you swallow actually gets digested, especially not with crohn patients.
