Question for the ladies

So embarrassed to even write this but I have a question for the women on remicade. Are you experiencing abnormal periods?? I notice when I was on humira from aug-October my periods were extremely heavy! I always started a week before I was due and then they were very clotty. Now that I'm on remicade (just had second infusion) it seems to be the same way. Prior to being on any crohns medication I never had this problem before. I started every month on the same day and it lasted 4 to 5 days normal flow. Is this normal? The clotting is making me nervous. Why or how could these meds effect your menstrual cycle in this way. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm afraid that I am not on either of these medications and can't honestly give you any information on it. But, a good friend of mine afidz has been on one of these before and might be able to have some answers for you. I hope things get a little easier for you. Sending hugs your way.

Its been 3 years since I was on Humira, and I honestly don't remember my periods during that time. But, you could always call your gyno or make an appointment and discuss it with them. SOrry I can't be of more help

Not for me; Remicade had no effect on my periods.

I got off the humira a month ago, it didn't help me. I'm on remicade now and it's happening on that too. I'm def making a appointment with my gyno and will be talking to my GI dr about it. Thanks Hun
