Hello,
My name is Michelle I am 26 years old and was recently diagnosed with severe Crohn's disease Feb. 2015. After undergoing all the tests and scans he recommended that I start remicade infusions. I was skeptical after reading all the possible side effects and reactions but decided to try it since the symptoms were only getting worse.(bloating, cramping, fatigue and 7-9 BM a day) My first infusion was May 13th and luckily it went very well no reactions or side effects that I noticed right awy. I felt like a new person better then I have felt since I had my daughter I'm 2009. It lasted for about 8 days and the symptoms returned. Not as sever but they are here. I am losing hope I think I was hoping for something that I knew wasn't going to happen. I am due for my second treatment may 27th and I am hoping this time it will last longer! I also noticed around the same time 8 days after my infusion I have blurred vision in my left eye that comes and goes is this normal? I feel mentally and physically drained!!!

:ghug: The three loading doses are to get a high enough level of Remicade into your system, you've only had one so far. You should tell your doctor about the blurred vision, that's not normal. I hope you're one of the people that responds well to the treatment.

I have noticed blurred vision after my infusions. GI doc told me to see my eye dr. Went to two. Optometrist said that the Remicade softens the muscle in the gut and can have same effect on muscle around eye which could lead to blurry vision. It is very noticeable for me for a few days after infusion but it does return to normal. Opthalmalogist did not have an answer. She just said she couldn't find anything reported on this...

Good luck to you
