Questran

Hi Folks,


So i went to my GI appointment yesterday morning to get the results of a CT scan i had done in June and well grrrr for the second time this year the irish healthcare system failed me again.When the doctor went to the computer to get the results he had a look of mystery on his face i thought hear we go again,the results werent there three months since the tests and they still hadnt got the results for me.So Long story short in between a bit of ranting from myself :devil: , the doctor says he will make sure they have them by the end of the week and will call me with them.

Maybe i should have put that in the vent away section haha.

Anyway i was given Questran sachets to help me for now

Has anybody been on this before? and if you were is there any tips for how/when i should take it?

I have been on Questran many times in the past after surgery, now I am fine without it. Take it in the morning or after your pill regimen. Read the label just to make sure. I used to take 2 pkg a day but everyone is different.

It does work for some, hope it works for you, it did for me. Good luck.

Yeah three months :ywow: i also never got a full report from my colonoscopy and endo that i had done last feb so i wasnt too surprised ye know just a wee bit annoyed.

Ill let you know of course if i ever get them that is lol.I have to take two a day as well.I took my first two yesterday and seemed ok , i have to make a bus trip to the city centre tomorrow so i guess ill know then if it has worked.

Did you take the second in the evening time or later at night?

I hope this helps. Roo tried it but found it too unpalatable , I'm hoping she will revisit it again and find a way to take it that she can tolerate. Oh and hers was Questran Lite.

Taking a second one at night is a very good idea, so you are not up pooping all night, and no sleep which in turn is bad. Good idea! How you doing so far?
